The Italian Ministry of University and Research has updated the official IMAT 2026 exam date in the calendar for national admission tests for the 2026/2027 academic year.
According to the updated notice, the admission test for Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine taught in English will take place on:

In the previous version of the notice, the date for English-taught Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine was shown as 8 October 2026.
In the updated document, this date has been changed to Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
Which programmes does this apply to?
The updated date applies to the national admission test for degree programmes taught in English in:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics
- Veterinary Medicine
These are single-cycle degree programmes with nationally limited access.

The updated notice confirms the exam date, but it also states that the procedures and contents of the admission tests for English-taught Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine will be defined by later ministerial decrees.
