About the Medicine and Surgery Degree Programme
Medicine and Surgery (MedInTO) is a six-year degree program in Medicine and Surgery taught entirely in English. Established in 2017, the MD International Medical School was created to meet the demands of a globalized healthcare landscape by integrating international teaching standards with Italy’s clinical experience.
The program combines strong theoretical foundations with early clinical exposure. Through an integrated curriculum and interactive teaching methods, students develop the knowledge and practical skills required for medical careers both in Italy and internationally.

Tuition Fees
At Italian public universities, tuition fees are calculated based on the official ISEE (family income) certificate.
This system applies to both EU and Non-EU students, meaning that fees are income-based.
Depending on family income:
- Fees can be very low or even fully waived,
- Or can reach approximately €500–€5,000 per year for higher-income families.
Scholarships – DSU (Diritto allo Studio Universitario)
The DSU regional scholarship is a public financial aid program that provides eligible students with financial grants, accommodation, and subsidized meals. It is available at all Italian public universities and is awarded by the regional authority where the university is located.
